NGO Kontra was a direct result of unexistance of a drum and bass scene in Sarajevo and as a result of a very poor situation of electronic music scene in Bosnia&Herzegovina. Somewhere after the new millenium (Y2K), group of young people, who were occupied with one idea about creating quality dnb scene in their own country, decided to go from passive to active phase. Basic plot was to give the BH public quality dnb and to compensate for the years "lost" in war. While other countries (like predominantly for dnb - UK) where buildingup and raising their scene, in BH was war. Under unhuman conditions we still managed to use Atari ST's on car generators and producing music when u think thats a last thing u would think of. NGO Kontra ain't limited only on dnb genre or generally music, we were as NGO participating and organisingin humanitarian and educative campaigns and in future we plan to continue our work in that area. Also producing quality drum and bass tracks and mixing 'em is our duty ;-)
